PURPOSE FOCUSED SUPPORT FOR THE GREEN HIVE ECO-LEARNING HUB

Purpose Focused in partnership with The Green Hive developed for the Eco-learning hub strategic goals designed to meet the nations emerging energy economy demand and objectives. 

The Green Hive concept is to provide a green physical space as a regional Eco-learning Hub, and Purpose Focused goals are to increase community-based capacities through education to targeted populations. Our goal is to develop greater public awareness with the intent to foster an understanding and adoption of the advanced renewable and energy efficient technologies that will redefine our current economic, social and environmental circumstances.

Our programs are geared toward long-term sustainability, and this can only be achieved through education. The Green Hive’s resource library provides a valuable service; by providing varied literature and services.  It will also display and demonstrates domestic and commercial energy efficient and renewable technologies developed to reduce our individual and collective consumption and dependence, which drives the demand to produce environmentally unsustainable goods, products, services and Energy.

Purpose Focused founder, JoAnn Armenta also serves as a U.S. DOE Clean Cities coordinator for Southern California Association of Governments.  She specializes in developing public/private relationships with green businesses, green industries government, academia, and local WIB’s, to provide access to community-based specialized training, education (workforce development), necessary to ensure the safety, quality and integrity of the installation and maintenance of specialized technologies/equipment.

Educational workshops and programs are designed for training the trainer and educating the educators to provide accredited programs to the community, ideally transferable to higher education (degreed). Other education/training-certificated programs are geared towards short term and immediate job retention and or placement.

Purpose Focused brings years of experience and resources to the Green Hive. Resources deemed valuable to public and private entities interested in customized services to adopt conservation and renewable standards, policies and practices that support AB 32 and SB 375. For example, city and county government agencies will be directly assisted in developing a climate action plan, conduct energy audits and fleet efficiency assessments and a plan to incorporate advanced transportation technologies, like alternative fueled vehicles when replacing their existing petroleum based vehicles.

Purpose Focused has partnered with Green Hive to produce a robust and interactive education and resource center. Our intentions are to establish a replicable model that is transferable to other regions.

To that end, the California Clean Cities Coalition Coordinators, education institutions and regional WIBS have agreed to collaborate with Purpose Focused to educate and outreach to varied populations in their respective regions. Coordinators with their regional industry, education and government partners, will help support, organize and execute events, expos and workshops. Workshops will be supported through the latest mediums like webinars and distant learning.  

Our mutual goal is to shift the paradigm from waste and reckless un-accountability of our finite resources, to that of responsible growth with a full understanding our Earth’s caring capacities.
